Baby Shower for Landen

Wednesday, September 21, 2011

A couple weeks ago, all of our family spent the weekend in Oklahoma City for Stephanie's Baby Shower. We had such a great weekend!

Headed to the shower!
{Well, not Dustin! He stayed with the guys watching football}

Love seeing Landen's name at the shower

This shower room was super precious. The people who own it, also own a children's boutique next door and they did all the decorations. Check out the wood fence along the wall on the left and all the tables were decorated so cute.

Strawberries and Cupcakes can sure dirty up a white smocked dress :)

Mackenzie ran all over the room during the shower {with her squeaky shoes on} haha!

Steph opening all of her gifts!

I monogrammed these gifts for Stephanie and Dustin found them the cutest mini John Deere wagon that we put all the clothes in and I completely forgot to get a picture :( But I am hoping a certain baby boy is small enough to lay in it for some newborn pictures? haha!

My cousin Kali always comes up with the best gifts! She made her brother this awesome hunting vest FULL of baby items along with gloves and tongs for those dirty diapers! She also stamped cowboy stuff on a lot of diapers that turned out soo cute!

Kali made Dustin and 'Daddy on Duty' diaper bag that was full of fun things like this when we had our baby shower. We still get the biggest kick out of it :)

My child has definitely learned to have a verrryyy STRONG opinion. And she obviously didn't want her picture made... Could have something to do with me going MIA into the cute baby boutique? Who knows? :)

The expecting couple!

I cannot wait for Mackenzie's baby cousin to get here! They dated for like 15-16 years before they got married in October 2009, so to say their family is ready is an understatement.

Congrats guys! Love yall!

We have been having a blast cheering on the Hogs this season. We went to two out of the three home games so far! (We don't go to the Little Rock games.)

Here are the very few pictures I have taken this season. I'm loving Mackenzie's Razorback Dress I made for her. She has stayed with Dustin's parents while we go to the game.. Maybe we will take her to an afternoon game this season.

The Hogs are headed to Bama this weekend. We are going to need all the cheers & {prayers} we can get!!

Cooler Weather & New App

Friday, September 16, 2011

I just downloaded Bloggers new free app! I have been looking around at some apps but wasn't sure which one was the best, and let's face it... I wasn't willing to fork up the $2 to try one out :) when I found this free one, I had to get it! I can't make any promises, but maybe I'll blog a teeny bit more than normal now..

It has been so nice outside lately! The mornings and evenings get a little bit cooler, but the days are gorgeous. Except for yesterday... I sent Mackenzie to Mrs. Sherry's in a skirt and tank. I felt so bad.

So today, we picked out our new fall clothes and M picked her nose. She followed it with a long "Noooooo" bc she knew that's what I would say. Little stinker!

Today is a big day in our house! We are getting cable back today. I'm so excited! We have really been missing College Gameday on Saturday mornings!

And... I'm going to my very first Greenwood tailgate party tonight. They are playing Shiloh Christian tonight so it should be a good game! I'm going to have to become a Bulldog fan eventually so I might as well jump on the bandwagon now!

TGIF!!

{Growing Kids Sale}

Wednesday, September 07, 2011

We went to the Growing Kids Sale tonight!

When Mackenzie was a newborn, I decided I was going to check this place out and drag my mom with me while doing it.. It was not all that I had thought it would be. We went on the last day when most everything was 50% off and we barely got anything. I was so disappointed and told mom I would never attempt that again..

...UNTIL, my friend Hayle called yesterday :)

She sells all of her kids stuff at the sale, and buys most of their toys/clothes for the next season. She had an extra arm badge since she worked an extra shift so she offered it to me!

Dustin and I took M with us tonight and got all of this awesome stuff! I am honestly so excited. Something about a good sale that gets women all giddy. Mackenzie and her daddy roamed around while I did all of the shopping. Dustin grabbed some cute camo things for a new baby cousin we are getting soon!

These pictures are kind of blurry, but we got Mackenzie several items to last through this fall/winter. On top is a Petit Ami smocked dress that I picked up for dirt cheap.

I also snagged some Polo Jeans for $2!!

We even got her two very nice coats for under $25!

We got her a few toys while we were there too!

How cute are all of her new kicks? I am LOVING the blue jean booties and the black crochet ugg look a likes. And see those brown and pink polka dot shoes? They are precious..

What's not precious about them? THEY SQUEAK!! :) I should have looked a little closer!
And see this little cute booger?

This could be a whole blog post of its own!

I momentarily lost my brain and let Mackenzie walk around with me. And she did great... Until we came across this vacuum. I actually pointed it out to her and that was it.

She pushed that loud thing all over the building, and when I even thought about taking it away so we could purchase it? Oh what was I even thinking? You know how there is always that really cute child that is always screaming their head off when you are trying to enjoy your evening??

Let me just tell you that it is awful when that child happens to be yours. I have never been so mortified. We finally decided that I would take M to the car while Dustin checked out. She did scream the whole way out there but what really put me over the edge is when she looked at me and then slapped me across the face....

I am sure we are getting reported for spanking such a cute child in the parking lot, but hey.... she won't do that again. {Hopefully}

Our Week

Saturday, September 03, 2011

This week we had lots of family in. My Great Aunt passed away and all of her services were this week. She is from California, so I got to meet a lot of family!

We went to church on Sunday, but not before snapping some pictures! My mom got me these Jessica Simpson white skinny jeans this weekend, and I could not wait to wear them!

{M is really big in to counting to three and us tossing her up in the air}

Sunday night, we went to mom's for dinner with all of the family!

I went to Visitation by myself on Tuesday night, and we had the funeral on Wednesday.

All the fam from California loved picking on us for our Southern' accents....I really don't even realize that I have an accent! Isn't "y'all" in everyones vocabulary? I guess not!! :)

Thursday night, we took M to play at Dustin's parents and watched Big Brother!

I am so glad that Becky reads all of the spoilers because I couldn't wait to find out who won HOH! I can't believe I would actually say this, but I am kinda rooting for Rachel now. I don't like any of the new people and Jordan won last season. I LOVVEE Jordan, but it makes more sense for Rachel to win to me.....

Anywho.. Last night, I took a shirt of Mackenzie's that had a stain on it and chopped it up and created a new Razorback dress for her to wear to church tomorrow! It is now her Razorback Victory dress.

We are heading to drop M off at Granny and Grandpa's house to play with their new pups, while we go call the HOGS!!

Game day pictures and Razorback Victory Dress to come!!
