{more halloween fun!}

On Halloween, we headed to see family after we took pictures from my last post.

Like I had said, Mackenzie is still too young {for us} to trick or treat so we just went to visit some family...

I was going to take her out of the tutu dress, but she had her grips on the sucker Mrs. Melissa gave her so we shoved the tutu in the car seat!

Mackenzie being a scarecrow was perfect, she could run around and mess
her hair up, and still look like the part :)

We stopped by my parents house..

.. and ate Imma Jerk BBQ!

Then drove to Dustin's parents house and visited with them for a while!

Side Note: Halloween marked the 2nd Anniversary for Danny and his very last treatment for cancer. We can't believe that he has been cancer free for two years already. Time flies.

Since Mackenzie wouldn't wear her hat, Granny put it on! :)

Mackenzie found her Granny's marble collection and loved putting them into her cute bucket!

We had a really good Halloween.. would have been even better if Dustin was able to be here with us! I have never really been a really big fan of Halloween, I just never liked the scary things that go along with it, BUT dressing this sweet girl up was super exciting this year! Hopefully I get into it a little more when she gets older.

Really looking for to Thanksgiving! I am in the middle of a new swing top/ruffle pants for Mackenzie with the cutest turkey on it! I can't wait to see it once it is finished!

Hope everyone is having a great week! It is almost Friday!!

{Trick or Treat}

We hope everyone had a fun Halloween!

Mackenzie was a little scarecrow this year.. My mom had pinned the cutest Scarecrow picture on Pinterest a while back, and we kind of made it our own. At first, I couldn't decided between that or Elmo {since M is obsessed with Elmo} so I made two costumes this year :)

I love how her costume turned out!
She was definitely not a fan of the hat though.. Who wants to hide those cute pig tails anyways?

I made her tutu dress out of green/brown/tan tulle, and added the sunflower in the front.. It also hides where the ribbon is attached to make it a halter top.

And check out those blue jean boots! Those were one of our finds at the Growing Kids Sale a while back. It was all (thrown) together pretty nicely. haha!

Wouldn't you know that this sweet girl would get a tiny black eye on Halloween? It didn't bruise too bad, I just had to laugh when I picked her up. Her and Carsyn are always up to something at Mrs. Sherry's!

I was kind of nervous about putting make up on her face.. I didn't think she would sit still long enough for me to get it on there, but she sat so still! I really think she enjoyed it! What little girl wouldn't love that?

It didn't last super long though, she kept rubbing it so it was smeared by the end of the night!

Dustin had to be out of town the last couple of weeks, so he wasn't able to be here. We were pretty bummed, but thanks to FaceTime, we were able to see each other and talk. Mackenzie was having a hard time balancing the sucker from Mrs. Melissa and the phone :)

This was as good as we could get with the hat on!

I honestly finished this hat right after I got home from work. Procrastinate much?

We went to visit my parents {who signed papers on a business yesterday! woop woop! Thats a whole post on it's own though}. My aunt and uncle came to town after we had to admit Memaw in to the hospital for a TIA so we ate with them and headed to Dustin's parents. We decided M is still a little to young to trick or treat.

I will try super hard to post all the family pictures tomorrow night! And I need to get some pictures of Mackenzie in her Elmo costume as well. I plan on keeping these costumes.. It will make perfect 'dress up' outfits for Mackenzie!

{cuddles}

These are the times that I can never get enough of!

We were blessed with a wild, loud and fun baby... and when these super sweet cuddles come my way, I could never pass them up!

Daddy taught M how to put her finger on her lips and softly say "shh.."

It is so sweet... Especially during prayers :)

She is a mess... And we love her to pieces!!

Mackenzie & Landen

Tuesday, October 18, 2011

Mackenzie got a new baby cousin last Tuesday!

Landen arrived Tuesday afternoon. He was 7 lbs and 21 inches. Mom, Memaw, Hannah, Kaci, Mackenzie, and I (whoo that was a lot of names..) made it a girls trip and stayed the weekend in Oklahoma City.

We went to visit Landen on Saturday and here are just a {few} pictures of Mackenzie and sweet baby boy.. And please ignore my shirtless child. She played outside forever and got a little too hot!

I love how she is looking at my mom... I get that face quite often when she is in to something she shouldn't be :)

This is one of my favorites!

While we were at Brandon and Stephanie's visiting, we took some awesome pictures of Landen in his John Deere wagon that Dustin got him. I can't hardly wait to share them!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Baby Shower for Landen

Wednesday, September 21, 2011

A couple weeks ago, all of our family spent the weekend in Oklahoma City for Stephanie's Baby Shower. We had such a great weekend!

Headed to the shower!
{Well, not Dustin! He stayed with the guys watching football}

Love seeing Landen's name at the shower

This shower room was super precious. The people who own it, also own a children's boutique next door and they did all the decorations. Check out the wood fence along the wall on the left and all the tables were decorated so cute.

Strawberries and Cupcakes can sure dirty up a white smocked dress :)

Mackenzie ran all over the room during the shower {with her squeaky shoes on} haha!

Steph opening all of her gifts!

I monogrammed these gifts for Stephanie and Dustin found them the cutest mini John Deere wagon that we put all the clothes in and I completely forgot to get a picture :( But I am hoping a certain baby boy is small enough to lay in it for some newborn pictures? haha!

My cousin Kali always comes up with the best gifts! She made her brother this awesome hunting vest FULL of baby items along with gloves and tongs for those dirty diapers! She also stamped cowboy stuff on a lot of diapers that turned out soo cute!

Kali made Dustin and 'Daddy on Duty' diaper bag that was full of fun things like this when we had our baby shower. We still get the biggest kick out of it :)

My child has definitely learned to have a verrryyy STRONG opinion. And she obviously didn't want her picture made... Could have something to do with me going MIA into the cute baby boutique? Who knows? :)

The expecting couple!

I cannot wait for Mackenzie's baby cousin to get here! They dated for like 15-16 years before they got married in October 2009, so to say their family is ready is an understatement.

Congrats guys! Love yall!

We have been having a blast cheering on the Hogs this season. We went to two out of the three home games so far! (We don't go to the Little Rock games.)

Here are the very few pictures I have taken this season. I'm loving Mackenzie's Razorback Dress I made for her. She has stayed with Dustin's parents while we go to the game.. Maybe we will take her to an afternoon game this season.

The Hogs are headed to Bama this weekend. We are going to need all the cheers & {prayers} we can get!!

Cooler Weather & New App

Friday, September 16, 2011

I just downloaded Bloggers new free app! I have been looking around at some apps but wasn't sure which one was the best, and let's face it... I wasn't willing to fork up the $2 to try one out :) when I found this free one, I had to get it! I can't make any promises, but maybe I'll blog a teeny bit more than normal now..

It has been so nice outside lately! The mornings and evenings get a little bit cooler, but the days are gorgeous. Except for yesterday... I sent Mackenzie to Mrs. Sherry's in a skirt and tank. I felt so bad.

So today, we picked out our new fall clothes and M picked her nose. She followed it with a long "Noooooo" bc she knew that's what I would say. Little stinker!

Today is a big day in our house! We are getting cable back today. I'm so excited! We have really been missing College Gameday on Saturday mornings!

And... I'm going to my very first Greenwood tailgate party tonight. They are playing Shiloh Christian tonight so it should be a good game! I'm going to have to become a Bulldog fan eventually so I might as well jump on the bandwagon now!

TGIF!!
